Come see gorgeous handmade baubles and meet the talented Portland designer in the flesh at the exclusive Nora Catherine Couture Trunk Show at Tony Alan Estate from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6 and Thursday, October 7.

Maybe it’s just us, but during the darker months we prefer our trinkets to be dramatic and over the top. Sure, for summer we go delicate and natural, but come winter, oh baby, watch out! If it’s giant and shiny, our eyes instantly light up like a kid on Christmas morning.

The Nora Catherine Couture line is bold and evocative and we love the theatricality behind her work. The Sparkling Jewel Forest Branch Tiara (top pic, $150) is not a look we would normally rock, yet we can’t help but picture how stunning and ice-princess chic it would look at a New Year’s Party. Same goes for these over-sized Sculpted Copper Wavy Leave Earrings (right, $89).
